We introduce ourselves as "Emmsons" group from India. The Group's flagship company EMMSONS INTERNATIONAL LTD is among one of the well known Agro Trading Companies of India and is listed at the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The success of the company is further highlighted with the glitter of awards presented by the Government of India to celebrate its performance and the ever-growing reputation in the industry. The Company was a proud recipient of "National Award for Excellence" in exports. In addition, APEDA and other Export Promotional Organization have conferred awards for its Export Performance for the last five years running which includes a "Golden Trophy" from APEDA in the current year.
The Company, although only about 2 decade old, is today a name to reckon with in international Trading of Agro/Energy Commodities. Emmsons export's basket includes Rice, Wheat, Wheat-Flour, Sugar, Maize, Groundnuts, Soya Meal, Rapeseed Meal, Barley, Sorgum and Pulses. It also imports Coal, Sulphur, Rock Phosphate, Di-Ammonium Phosphate, Almonds, Sugar and Pulses among other things. The company has maintained long and sustained relationship with its clients accross Far-East Asia region, Africa, USA and the Middle East due to its quality products and efficient service. The company has been trading Steam Coal from South Africa and Indonesia for last five years and has done sizable business with leading sponge iron and Cement Manufacturers of India through various major ports of India like Vizag, Kandla, Chennai, Goa Port etc.
The Company has presence in Europe (Switzerland) through its wholly owned subsidiary, Emmsons SA, which, in addition to being a trading arm, is also managing the farming of 20,000 acres of land to produce Wheat, Rapeseed and Grape seed in Ukraine. In South East-Asia, The Company, in a joint venture with Emirates Trading Agency (ETA of Dubai), by the name of PT Star Emmsons Resources, owns Coal Mines in Indonesia, which are stated to start production in year 2012.
Its expertise in procurement of Agro Commodities, along with its offices in major procurement areas in India and around the world helps the Company in maintaining its high quality standards. The skills, insight and expertise in procurement acquired over the years are even today the Group's Core Assets. Its own Milling & Packaging unit reduces its dependence on Quality and timely procurement of packing material thus increasing its efficiency. Similarly, in imports the same Strengths are used to distribute / trade a range of Commodities.
